Traffic means money. The more traffic you have, the more you can expose your products and services. However, traffic can also make you a second source of income by joining various programs that actually give you traffic and pay you for referring others. I have been buying some traffic from a few low-end providers and I am really pleased with Super-Traffic. Cedric has been great at getting back to me (no, we don't get a penny off of this endorsement) and for getting my various campaigns - both US and International - off the ground.
Traffic can be free through various programs, you can click for free traffic by viewing other people's sites, or you can pay for traffic.
So, my best advice is, if you're on a budget, start small. Join the free traffic and banner exchange programs. See how much traffic you get and how many sales. Some of the free programs have very inexpensive upgrades and offers to buy more traffic. Upgrade if they fit your budget. Just click on the name and join!
I love email. I know, I know. Junk mail, SPAM, complaints etc. But, if you send REAL email, through reputable vendors while you are building your own lists you can be very successful.
Traffic Programs -Even those that are free to join give you options to buy more traffic - usually quite inexpensively. And 'surfing for visitors' can give you some great ideas by exposing you to other programs.
You want traffic, and so so other sites, so sign up at some of these companies that will pay YOU. You'll get a great idea of how some programs work - so you know where your precious ad dollars are going. However, Danger! Danger! Will Robinson! Many of these are scams! There are a ton of sites that make YOU pay upfront to eanr money back. Do NOT get sucked in!
Pay to Read (PTR) websites are great. You get paid per e-mail you read, it’s just as simple as a PTC (Pay To Click) website but you usually get a little bit more for reading an e-mail. See my list of others I recommend at the bottom of this page.
Hits4Pay is one of very few highest paying advertising program in the industry. Signup for free here and receive $10 as a Free Reward.
OPT - IN, OPT-IN, DOUBLE OPT-IN - Always be sure that the company you do business with - such as the company you rent email lists from has a strong ANTI-spam policy. If you find a company you like and trust, please let me know! Make sure that whomever you use, that you have a way of measuring the success of your campaign - even if it is just traffic statistics! Don't leave anything to chance.
I am currently trying a few, including a company in Texas - I'll let you know how it goes!
Email software to handle your lists- If you have an email list of your own and want a great way of maintaining contact with your customers/prospects, then we recommend ConstantContact software. They seem to have the most user-friendly and utilitarian software I've seen yet. A pal of mine uses it and I'm sold on it myself!

How can you believe this hype? Lots of people do.
Things have certainly changed in online business since Moneygirl first started making money online in 1997!
Can You Play In the Game With the 'Gurus' of Internet Marketing?
You may think that thousands of people are flocking online daily to seek out their rightful place among Internet marketing giants who have created a virtual empire of passive profits. But while they may be looking into it, many prospective Internet marketers are too intimidated to actually do anything to stake their claim. The primary reason? They don’t know how to produce a product with an unusual or unique slant.
Many newbie ‘net marketers believe that if one person is already successfully selling an information product on affiliate marketing, then there’s no room at the top, so they drop their dreams and return to the shackles of a 9-5 daily grind in corporate America (or elsewhere in the world). Is it possible for an unknown to break out onto the scene and become a hit based on what they know that’s better or different from what Big Guy Guru has to say? Of course it is.
But in order to do this, the Internet marketer has to come onto the marketplace with insurmountable confidence so that his or her target audience will believe the message that’s being sold. A guru isn’t someone who knows better how to do something. A guru, in the Internet marketing world, is someone who did it in an original fashion and/or someone who has been earning a living steadily online for a long amount of time and therefore knows his or her “stuff.”
A little guy may be new to selling a product, but that doesn’t mean he or she hasn’t worked online for months or years to learn the ropes. If you were able to come online and learn Internet marketing well enough that it allowed you to succeed in a short amount of time, then that makes you a guru in your own right.
Many people are, in fact, turned off by the word “guru” and get bored of reading about someone’s expertise. Fresh is a good thing in the world of Internet marketing, so before you throw in the towel and call it quits, make sure you at least give your dreams a shot at success and see if the public is willing to invest in your knowledge.
Remember that enthusiasm boils over, even on a static web page. So if you believe in your product, then it doesn’t matter what niche you’re targeting for your Internet marketing efforts – your audience will soak up your attitude and carry the torch for you into the realm of profits and guru status yourself!
Pay to Click (PTC) websites offer views of ads with exposures controlled between 10 seconds to 2 minutes. Most of the time the timer lasts 30 seconds, once the timer runs out you can click another ad. Prices range anywhere from .0001 to .02 cents per view, mostly in the .01 range.
